John along with his wife Shawna founded the Canadian Children’s Brain Cancer Foundation in honour of their son Jordan who passed away at the age of 8 in 2012. During Jordan’s illness John recognized a need for a registered charity in Canada dedicated to finding a cure for pediatric brain cancer that could work on concert with likeminded organizations throughout the U.S., Europe and Australia to fund the very best research.
John is a professional engineer in the oil and gas industry where he manages production and construction projects for a small exploration and production company. He currently makes his home in Calgary with Shawna and their son Gavin and stays busy coaching Gavin’s hockey and lacrosse teams.
